Last day of holden farmers market 2025!
And its been a busy were restocking everyone's favorites!
Broken creek inferno jelly, mango pepper, apple jelly, apple marmalade strawberry jalapeño all back in stock!
Done forget its 5 o'clock somewhere with happy hour!
Blackberry bourbon smash, vanilla peach bourbon, Pina Colada! Oh my, its getting sweet in here! Too many tasty options for one post!

Roast your carnival squash from rock harvest farm until tender
Cook your diced honey nut squash with local garlic and butter until tender, add your oyster mushrooms from traveling cap, then your chicken.
* when you strip the chicken, put all the bones and skin back in the pot and add 4 cups of water bring to a boil. This is your risotto stock
Now for risotto!
After the first stock addition add the squash mix back in. Finish with Romano cheese.
Fill your roasted carnival and garnish with more cheese

Pre heat oven to 400
Start with searing your chicken from farm 46, season generously with herbs de Provence, sage, oregano, salt and pepper. De glaze the pan with wine or use some local apple cider. Add 1 onion and a few cloves of local garlic and pop it in the oven for 20 min. Now without opening the oven turn it off and go milk the cows. The Dutch oven will stay hot and braze the chicken when you're milking 🤣 turn the oven back on when you come back to shower in an hour. When you come back to the kitchen the chicken will be perfectly cooked and can be moved to the fridge to wait for dinner time.
This is only step 1, everyone stand by this is going to get way better than a roasted chicken

We're busy at big E, so no markets this week. No holden for the next 3 weeks, brown swiss this week, milking shorthorn next week and jersey show the Fallowing week. Feel free to reach out if you need jam i can always send it along with another vendor for pick up!

If you were missing us at the markets this week just know I was busy with the lucky me girls at the cheshire fair in NH. All in and all that, we refer to them as the twins even if they aren't really twins, but seriously how cute are they 🩷
