Bordeaux’s famous 1855 Classification was put together in about two weeks by the city’s w**e brokers for Napoleon III’s Paris World’s Fair. In the 170 years since, it has officially changed only twice: Château Cantemerle was added that September, and Mouton Rothschild was moved up from Second to First Growth in 1973.
In 1855 a bunch of Bordeaux w**e brokers made a ranking list in two weeks, and it’s barely changed since. Mouton Rothschild had to fight 118 years to move up one spot. At Munk Mafia we don’t make you wait that long. Join the W**e Club and you’ll be pouring something worth ranking yourself.
