No, Milk & Honey isn’t going anywhere 💜
What you see (when I have time to post) are the final results of many hours poured into each batch made in my kitchen, packaged nicely and prepped for market.
What is less apparant (but also very relatable) is the chaos behind the scenes. The planning and prepwork for batches, creating and testing new fillings (which often take trial after trial), running to 5 different stores to ensure I have all ingredients, working the monetary and logistic side of the small business, donations, juggling custom orders in between. Don’t forget the laundry. And the vet appointments, the meal planning and shopping, the cleaning, the school drop offs and pick ups and parenting….These are not quick “drop” cookies; each finished batch takes 3-4 hours to make, plus 24 hours of maturation before any decorating or packaging even comes into play.
M&H is getting busier and busier. I could not be more grateful for how many of you trust me to try my macarons and those of you who have become loyal friends. What a PRIVILEGE!
I am also mom to a very sweet growing boy whose love language is quality time. I have a marriage that needs tending right now. I have a bible that has gone untouched too many days in this (”busy”) season. I have spent the last school year putting in many hours there for helping lead Parent Service Organization.
My heart is so full. And it’s so tired right now. My next market will not be until 9/12 (the very best ). Until then, call it summer break! I will be open to *some* customs, dependent on my personal schedule. I already know I will miss it and am excited for September to come.
Thank you, those of you who have visited since the start of the year, ordered for baby showers, birthdays, teacher gifts, or weddings, and making the last 5 months an actual full time hustle with this little piece-of-my-heart bakery that I have always only dreamed of. 🥹🫶🏻
SEE YALL IN THE FALL!
