Operation “Move Montana and Percy out with the rest of the Herd” was a go for today! And it went as smooth as silk! We put up some temporary fence as an alleyway down to the pasture, and as soon as we opened up their fence they went down like they knew exactly what to do. So fast I couldn’t get any good pictures 😩

When they found the rest of the herd, there was the expected head butting, but not as much as I had expected. Within a few minutes it was like they had been there all along!

Oh how I love this Murray Grey breed!

My goal is to make all of the sauce needed for the Liam Search and Rescue Sportsman’s Bash in October! 40 quarts down and probably 40 more to go! All of the tomatoes, onions, peppers and garlic are from Harley’s Oak Spring Farm! The basil is from my own garden ❤️

Some exciting news! Since we’re not busy enough, we figured why not add a hundred thousand more critters to keep alive!

We’d always wanted to add bees to our farm, and an opportunity to kinda do that came up! A gentleman who had several hives on our neighbors Harley’s Oak Spring Farm was scaling down his hives and we offered to buy them. This way the bees stay across the street, continuing to pollinate all of their fresh produce, and we will be blessed with delicious honey!

We have to apologize for not posting so much lately. We’ve been busy taking care of the cows, horses, donkeys, chickens, preserving our garden harvest, and some exciting projects we haven’t shared yet!

While we prepare to share some big news, let’s have some fun! We currently have about 5,800 followers. We’d like to grow that! So we’re asking all of you to invite your friends to follow us too!

When we reach 6,000 followers we’ll pick a random winner for a prize! Depending on if the winner is local or we need to ship their prize will determine what that prize will be 😁 it may be tickets to a local sportsman’s bash, maybe some of our delicious beef, maybe something more exciting!
