We were honored to have Zayne visit our station last night. If you have never heard of Project Zayne, look into it. It is such a great mission! Thank you again for the visit, and we look forward to doing whatever we can to help out.
Project Zayne is proud to have delivered our sensory bins to Daugherty Township Volunteer Fire Department.
During an emergency, children can quickly become overwhelmed by unfamiliar faces, loud sirens, bright lights, and stressful situations. For children with autism, sensory sensitivities, developmental disabilities, congenital heart conditions, anxiety, or simply fear, those moments can be especially difficult.
Each Project Zayne sensory bin is filled with carefully selected items designed to provide comfort, distraction, and sensory regulation while first responders do what they do best. Something as simple as a fidget toy, stuffed animal, or calming activity can help reduce fear and build trust during a crisis.
These bins aren’t just about the items inside, they’re about meeting children where they are, with compassion and understanding.
A huge thank you to the members of Daugherty Township Volunteer Fire Department for partnering with Project Zayne and helping us make emergency responses a little less scary for the children and families in your community.
Because every child deserves to feel safe even on their hardest day. 💙🚒
