Did the flowers survive last night's frost?

The answer is, it's too soon to tell.

Frost damages plants by freezing the water at a cellular level. When those cells expand, the leaves and petals begin to blacken and decay. But sometimes, if the plants are allowed to warm naturally with the sun, we find the cells weren't completely frozen.

Stay tuned for updates on whether there will be fresh flowers arriving at The Promise Blend and Wooden Spoon on 11th tomorrow!

Whew! It was such an amazing weekend. You all took home soo many pumpkins!

Thank you so much for showing up in a big way to support the pumpkin stand!

If you didn't make it out, don't panic just yet. Remember how I said I grew more pumpkins than ever this year? There is still a great selection to decorate your porch or just to grab a couple little pumpkins for your desk or kitchen counter. The stand will be open again this weekend.

As the end of fresh flower season draws closer, there are still lots of ways to enjoy beautiful things from our farm!

One of the best ways to keep flowers in your home through the winter is with a dried bouquet.

Each stem within the bouquet, I started from seed months ago, carefully looked after, and harvested at peak freshness. The stems are then bunched and hung in a cool, dark space until they are ready to be turned into your beautiful bouquet.

Whilel i'm busy building so many amazing dried flower bouquets for you, don't forget about our pumpkin stand, open 8-1p Saturday and Sunday! 📍 471 Harmony Rd, New Brighton
