⚠️ Vendor Scam Warning for All Food Trucks & Small Businesses

I want to give a heads‑up to every food vendor and small business out here working hard to make it in this tough economy, especially those of us who are new to the mobile food unit community.

I recently received an email sent directly to our business account from someone claiming to be organizing “Food Truck Fridays at The Valley Ranch Town Center” for Friday evenings through August–September. She provided what looked like a legitimate vendor application and stated the fee was $200 per date.

Something felt off, mainly because of the email address and the fact that I live in New Caney and had never heard of this event or seen anything posted on Facebook. Thankfully, I did my due diligence and contacted The Signorelli Company, which owns the Valley Ranch Town Center properties.

They confirmed there is NO such event scheduled, nothing listed on their official events page, and no record of this person. Per their marketing team, all legitimate events are handled through Big Top Entertainment or Carolyn, who manages the farmers market days.

This confirmed the entire thing was 100% a scam.

I’m sharing this so other food trucks and small businesses don’t get taken advantage of. A fake event like this could easily cost someone $200, and for many of us just starting out, that loss hits hard.

Please always verify events directly with the venue before sending payments or applications.

From BBQ favorites to loaded comfort foods and desserts, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes getting everything together!
