When we say we are passionate about cattle - especially Shorthorns - we mean it. Our records specialist Paige said it best.
Our last is from Paige Phillips of Ohio.
Paige says “The Shorthorn breed just makes me happy. From the fun color patterns, the docile behavior and the personality of all my herd. Showing Shorthorns also comes with an amazing group of people to grow up around. I have learned so much from showing Shorthorn cattle, but not just about raising cattle…I have learned about honesty, responsibility, life lessons, who makes the best chocolate chip cookies, and so much more. My parents introduced me to the breed, and I have a special place in my heart for every animal I have had the honor of raising. My memories are so fond of looking at cattle with my mom and dad, judging them from the time they hit the ground to when they grow up, and having those long discussions about what we want to achieve with our herd. I love Shorthorn cattle because they’re a reliable breed, they are a performing breed, and they are the family breed.”
To close our series we would like to thank our seniors for the time they have given to our breed, we wish you all the best in your future endeavors, and hope you each continue to Stay Shorthorn!
