Hmmm.....The extinction of the American farm and farmer is coming. There are many solutions out there, but with something this large, will it happen? One example is what Massachusetts did. Check out https://massland.org/

Not a perfect solution, but land is being protected and farmed. There are other smaller answers out there, I am sure, but this is one started at a state level.

A fifth-generation farmer stares down a future in which his land is no longer tended by someone in the family. It’s new territory for everyone.

So Chef Ben added Coconut Bundt Cake to his online store. Check out his other offerings. Both savory and sweet items are available. I know a bit of a slow time for everyone with resolutions for the year but it's still a great alternative and break from cooking at home.

A poultryman in 1943 on a Hampshire County farm in England moves a poultry fold into line with the others in the field. Each of these chicken sheds contains 25 birds and are moved their length every day, providing fresh ground for the hens to feed on and also ensuring that the chicken manure is spread across the whole field.
Design the coops however you want and scale it up or down to your personal whim but the picture speaks of possibilities

To those who recently purchased from Ben, this past summer at Market on the Green or Shaw Alley Holiday Market, I have some news I wanted to pass along.

Many of you have enjoyed Ben's culinary items and wondered how you can purchase them when no market is happening. Well, we've got a small online store up and the first Saturday pick-up will be January 11. A limited quantity of items will be available just like at the market. We hope to have a brick-and-mortar place to provide more but we can only do so much from home for now.
