🌱 We Are Hiring! 🦋

We have 2 new year round- part time positions opening up on our butterfly farm.

We are looking for reliable, hardworking people to join our team year-round. Both roles offer flexible daily hours, seasonal adjustments, and opportunities for growth and performance raises! No experience needed -we will train you.

Position 1: Greenhouse & Plant Attendant
📍 Location: 419 Mt Air Road, New Castle, PA

⏰ Schedule: Part-time (~20 hrs/wk, Mon–Fri with early mornings; Saturdays as needed). Slower winter months drop to 2–3 hours/day.

What you'll do: Run watering systems, check plant health, treat damaged plants, clean greenhouses, handle seed starting/transplanting, and harvest fresh crops for caterpillars.

What we’re looking for: A positive attitude, a love for growing plants, ability to work independently, reliable transportation, and early morning availability.

Position 2: Caterpillar Technician
📍 Location: 1712 State Route 351, Enon Valley, PA

⏰ Schedule: Part-time (2–4 hours/day, Mon–Fri). Slower periods in Oct, Nov, Dec, & Jan.

What you'll do: Prepare specialized caterpillar diets, rigorously clean and disinfect equipment, and carefully transfer newly hatched Painted Lady caterpillars into cups.

What we’re looking for: A strictly sanitary mindset, comfort working independently, and reliable transportation.

Join us this Thursday, July 23rd from 5:30-8:30 for our Open Photography night. This is your chance to experience our butterfly and flower farm and use the evening to capture amazing photos. We will have several staged photo-op areas and even have a few time slots left inside our butterfly flight house for the upgraded experience of having your photo taken with live butterflies professionally placed on your for those one-of-a-kind photos!
We welcome all photographers for this evening, or bring your own camera.
Perfect for couples, senior pictures, engagements, young children, and families!

Some see weeds, some see flowers.... but we see a "Butterfly Buffet!"
Any guesses as to what we're collecting from this patch??
We are picking plantain to feed our Buckeye caterpillars. They get fresh stems several times a day, and right now the whole group of them are eating about 1-2 lbs of plantain leaves a day!

We have a limited number of Monarch and Black Swallowtail kits- raise your own caterpillar and experience the amazing transformation of the butterfly life cycle in your own home, on live plants!

We also have plants- tropical milkweed, hairy ball milkweed for monarchs and celery plants for black swallowtails.
