With the arrival of our fall mum order, cut flowers coming on strong and the beginning of produce season, it's necessary to lighten the work load at the greenhouse. We're on a mission this week at Three Acres Homestead to clear out remaining veggie plants, annuals and hanging baskets. So if you still have garden space or containers to fill, stop by and see us this week!

No garden? No problem. Check out the raised garden beds we have. Two styles available!

Took full advantage of the rain and cooler temps last week to get our plants settled in for the growing season.

Now we may have to wait a little bit longer for a red, ripe tomato but Three Acres Homestead has fresh cut flowers this week! Peony season has begun!

Next, there’s Dirt Therapy. It’s real. Yes, yes, yes. Let’s reduce stress and anxiety. The whole world needs a garden. Spending regular time in a garden creates routine and structure, improves mood and brings a sense of accomplishment. It can be a calming, meditative retreat and something to feel proud of.

Three Acres Homestead has garden plants to get you going. We have several tomato and pepper varieties, cucumbers for slicing and pickling, cabbage, eggplant, onions, lettuce, zucchini and strawberry plants. Plus, parsley, dill, basil, thyme, oregano and sage.
Be sure to see us this week for what you need, now through Saturday, as we are normally closed on Sunday, Monday & Tuesday and will not be open on Memorial Day.

All pork sausage, roasts, ribs, chops and BACON are back in stock! And if you sampled the Hot & Sweet Italian sausage during our Sample Day, then you know we're all about quality and flavor. But there's still one more cut available we'd like to tell you about. It's Pork Fat and it's super easy to render and has many uses. If you're cookie making, baking, frying, roasting or want to season those cast irons, you'll want this on hand. Plus, it can be used for making soap and natural skin care products!
Our Pork Fat comes from a heritage breed of pig called a Mangalitsa. We raise this particular breed at Three Acres Homestead for the rich and tender flavorful meat. If you have an interest in trying some of the cuts or rendering your own lard, stop by and see us. Or, if you'd like to stock your freezer with this quality meat, you can place an order for a half or whole animal. If you'd like to raise a Mangalitsa on your own homestead, ask us about our feeder pigs that are available.

A few things to let you know about.....

⭐ We'd like to invite everyone for our Sample Day here at Three Acres Homestead! Put this on your calendar, Saturday, May 9th from 9am-2pm. We'll be serving up samples of our Sweet and Hot Italian Sausage. If you haven't had it, May 9th will be the perfect time to try our homestead raised pork.
We're going to sweeten this day a little more by offering samples of the seven flavors of M. Shanor Honey that we offer in our store. Customers always ask, "Which tastes the best"? We like them all! If there's a flavor you haven't tried yet and would like to, don't miss our Sample Day!

⭐ Our greenhouse is open for the season! You don't have to wait for May 9th to get your blooms! Plenty of spring colors to pick from and enjoy now, plus we'll be adding more later!

⭐ Were excited to have a new form of locally-made, handcrafted items join our store! There's now a selection of artwork from Piper's Pottery! These pottery pieces are beautiful and perfect for gift giving!
