Happy Sunday! Do any of our farming or gardening friends have any interest in a Spider Farmer grow shelf with 2 lights and 2 heating mats? The lights and mats are fully functional and it also includes numerous seed trays. Lights and warming mats are fully functional. It can disassemble to move. We used to start our garden plants using this but we don’t think we will have much time for that moving forward 😆 make us an offer!!

‼️‼️‼️❣️UPDATE- Tuesday August 11 we have restocked the flowers!! Come help yourself!!

Hello friends! Have you missed us? We have certainly missed seeing you!! Our zinnias are still so beautiful and we wanted to share them with you. We have some picked in the stand at the top of our driveway for you to come and take- for FREE!! If you take them all, we will pick more. If you feel so inclined, you can leave a donation in the cash box on the left and we will donate any proceeds to the Laurel School District FFA Club (Future Farmers of America). We just want you to come and brighten someone’s day with some beautiful flowers!

We only ask that you please leave the mason jars and take only the flowers- bring your own vase 😊

Have a lovely week! 🌸🌺🪻

I told myself that I wouldn't bombard you with posts during picking season but this one is worth sharing. The first photo is from June 27, 2025- the first and only time our kids picked blueberries at the Foster's farm. The next day, the farm was posted for sale on their Facebook (For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11)

We went back with my husband on July 7, 2025, picked berries and talked to Dan and Carol about buying the farm. We exchanged hand money that day and began working on the land on July 12, 2025. The second photo represents how far we have come in exactly 365 days and reminds us that every single late night, early morning, ounce of mud, and every single gray hair paid off. Thank you for sharing this journey with us and we hope you are still along for the ride when we share this post ten years from now! Love, The Chappell's

Happy Wednesday friends! We just wanted to hop on and show you something cool- remember how we said the unripe berries will ripen on your counter? We took pictures to prove it! If you pick a berry and notice a green spot, just give it a few days and it will ripen to perfection! Come visit us Thursday June 25 from 12:00-5:00 pm or Saturday June 27 from 1:00-6:00 pm and try it for yourself🫐💙

Happy Friday friends! We are one step closer to picking berries and we wanted to tell you all about it! Last weekend we covered the main field with the giant net and just in the nick of time because the berries are starting to turn blue! We had to lay the net out in our neighbor’s yard (ours wasn’t big enough and we have a pretty big yard!), cut it to size, reconnect the cut pieces, roll it back up and walk it to our field. We hoisted it up and rolled it out over the cabling that we ran between the poles to cover the entire field. The net keeps the birds and deer away and hopefully our other friend has moved on and found a new home 🐻. We had to order a new net for the top field so thankfully those berries ripen a little later which buys us some time.

We are blessed with the absolute best family and friends that step in to help us make this crazy dream a reality. There aren’t enough free blueberries in the patch to show our gratitude and we aren’t sure why you keep showing up but we love you for it😆🫐💙

Enjoy your weekend- we estimate that we will have picking dates for you very soon!!

Funny Friday! Why did the blueberry pie cross the street? It saw a fork in the road!

Here's another reason to smile- picking season is almost here! We anticipate the berries to be ready within the next 2-3 weeks. We know that you love checking in with us on Fridays but Sunday is going to be the day to remember throughout picking season. On Sunday, we will post the picking dates and times for the upcoming week right here on our Facebook. As we have mentioned, our kids play sports and Western Pennsylvania weather can be unpredictable so we'd like to establish a game plan for the week so you can plan ahead to visit us!

Being that this is our first season, we will try out this method and adjust if needed. You can also call or text us at 724-730-0147. If you are physically unable to pick berries or you just don't have time during our picking hours, don't worry! Just call/text and order your desired amount and we will pick them for you and bring them right to your car. We are still learning and doing everything in our power to make our inaugural season a success and we truly appreciate your patience and your willingness to work with us. We cannot wait to meet you! Enjoy your weekend friends! 💙🫐

Happy Friday friends! Our farm update for today is simple- we have berries! Lots and lots of berries. The late freeze did hit us a little harder than we originally thought and you will see the damaged ends on some of the plants but we are so fortunate to have the amount of berries that we currently do, especially after digging up and moving these bushes just 3 months ago!

This weekend we will start setting the posts for the net (thankful for multiple dry days in a row that allowed us to actually get into the field to work!). The net will need to go up in the near future to protect the berries from birds and deer so you can actually have some to pick- they won’t share otherwise 😆.

Thanks for following along. We are getting closer and closer to picking season and we can’t wait to meet you! Have a great weekend ☀️🫐💙

Fun fact Friday! When you pick blueberries with us, we will charge by the pound. Did you know that there are approximately 200 blueberries in a pound? You can pick as many or as few as you’d like. We will provide the buckets.. all you have to do is come ready to pick. One of our favorite fun facts is that some of the picking buckets that we purchased from the former farm still say TRADER HORN! We jokingly say that was the main reason why we knew this was meant to be!

If you are unable to walk through the field and pick or if you’re short on time, you’ll also be able to give us a call and one of our expert pickers (our kids😆) will pick your order and deliver it right to your car. Enjoy your weekend and pray for warm weather- the blueberries definitely prefer it!! 💙🫐
