Bush's Apples (Robert Bush Farms) Hours for fall, Sept. through November 29 9AM- 6PM. We have Asparagus for sale in season, usually starting in early May.

Starting each year in early September we open and sell these varieties as they ripen. We wait to pick them until they taste great. Apples: Macintosh, Cortland's, Greening's, Gala's, Honeycrisp, Empires, Mutsu, Ida Red, Jonagold, Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Greening, Winesap, Rome, Jonathan and Criterion
Pears: Flemish Beauty, Bartlett and Bosc
Squash: Butternut, Acorn, Spaghetti and Carnival
Pumpkins: Jack O Lantern, Big Max, and White
Gourds and Mini Pumpkins

We are picking and selling fresh asparagus. We have had to sort out some frozen spears but we have a lot of great tasting fresh asparagus for sale every day. We also have two kinds of apples I saved from last fall. Ever crisp and Bob's Story. Both of these are very firm and crisp and keep really well, great for eating fresh and cooking! We also have fresh rhubarb, honey maple syrup and apple sauce cups. Open Monday to Saturday from 9 to 7. Located at 2374 West M-20, New Era. Come and get what you need!

We have some fresh asparagus! We went out yesterday and picked some ahead of the frost last night. It's a little short but very good! We are open today and I think we have enough to get through the day and sell again on Monday. I'm not sure if we can pick more Monday or if it is all frozen. We will keep you posted. Hours for now 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.

These few little asparagus stalks came up to say hi! They were few and far between! I'm guessing it will be early May before we have enough to pick. The weather is supposed to cool a bit next week and that will slow it down. We will keep you posted!
Update on me after my hip surgery. I am doing good! The hip pain is gone and I'm back working like it never happened! Of course I still deal with the Ms but it's nice that the bad pain in my hip is gone!

Another update on my recovery process. As you can see in the picture I have graduated to a four wheel walker. I'm taking more steps all the time and even get my grandkids to ride along with me! That makes it a lot more fun! I also am working on just using my walking stick around the house. Therapy twice a week and exercising a lot at home. I have even driven out to the orchard to check on the tree trimming! It is nice to start to feel normal again! My pain level is low but it does take extra work to overcome the weakness of multiple sclerosis. I'm working through it! I really appreciate all the prayers, encouragement and support!! It really means the world to me!

This summer I was one of a few growers that was asked to do a promotional video about my farm for American Farmers, a company that I bring fresh asparagus and fresh apples to be packed and sold in stores. I thought I would share my video with all of you. The video was put together by Phil Quinlan who's company is Sherpa Leadership Group.

I am doing pretty good! Thank you all for all the prayers! I am sure they made a big difference in helping me to do well! I still need the walker, my multiple sclerosis will slow me down in recovery but I will work through it! I'm doing my physical therapy and I do a lot of exercises at home. That is going well also. The timing of the surgery worked out great! I can now work on recovery and not worry as much about the farm., my son is keeping up with all that. Being that it's December makes that a lot easier! The response I got from my other posts has been overwhelming! To have that many people praying, wishing me well and showing concern makes me feel great. Thank you to you awesome people for your support! It means the world to me!

Bush's Apples is now closed for the season. Thank you all for another great year! We plan to be back in early May when the asparagus starts to grow. I (Bob) will have hip replacement surgery tomorrow if everything goes as planned. I plan to update this page as to how I do. I really appreciate all the prayers! They mean the world to me! Thank you for all the friendships, conversations and support! See you in 2026!
