We are so glad you found us! We are a small, family run and operated farm in New Fairfield, CT. My name is Austin Bauer and I am a second generation farmer. My parents, who were born and raised in New Fairfield, started the Double A Ranch in the late 80s. After living their whole lives in New Fairfield, they started a family of their own. This led them to venture out of New Fairfield and into Wood

bury, CT where they continued backyard farming and raising livestock. I myself, graduated from Nonnewaug high school as a part of the Agricultural Program and have been surrounded by agriculture for as long as I can remember! After 13 years in Woodbury, the Double A Ranch has returned to our roots in New Fairfield! We are excited to meet our new neighbors and bring agriculture back to New Fairfield. Our goal is to supply our family, friends, and neighbors with local, non gmo, regenerative meat. We pride ourselves on providing our animals with the highest quality of life and we operate with the utmost respect and humanity towards all of our animals. Hey everyone! We’re so excited to be apart of the Westport Farmers Market this season and wanted to hop on here and give you a little behind-the-scenes look at what we’ve been up to this off-season!

We’ve been busy gearing up for the 2026 market season and it’s been a lot of work, but the good kind.

Right now, we’re in the middle of a pasture reclamation project. What does that mean? We’re restoring overgrown, underused land back into healthy, productive grazing space by clearing brush, managing weeds, testing soil, and reseeding quality forage for our animals.

On top of that, we’ve been building out new infrastructure to support our growth this year. Everything from chicken brooders and tractors to cattle fencing and pig farrowing houses.

At the end of the day, our top priority at The Double A Ranch is always the health and well-being of our animals, and that’s been the driving force behind everything we’ve done this off-season.

We can’t wait to see you all at the market🐄🐓🐷
