www.todhuntervineyards.com is getting a glow-up! The pros over at CupOCode are getting close to ready for launch... it's going to look so great, PLUS you'll be able to order wine (if you're in a state that we can ship to, or if you're local we'll drive it over to you!), and you'll be able to see how the ordering works for wineries (whole grapes by the ton), home wine-makers (5 gallon frozen must), making reservations, seeing the events calendar, and the blog. Watch this space!

Things are looking bright! The Cellar Door is still on track for beginning construction this summer. Thanks to the many encouraging messages from the followers, friends, family -- your well-wishes are so appreciated! Just waiting on the final mechanical/electrical drawings so we can submit the building permit application. On another note, the professional outfit that was hired to bring our web site into full operation is getting close to ready to launch - stay tuned! Hugs!

We're almost past the freeze-risk date and our secondary shoots are popping. An initial census indicates that we'll loose quite a few vines, but the majority will survive -- although we'll probably not have very many grapes to harvest. We'll push the anticipated first official harvest to 2027, and keep buying grapes from vineyards that do have fruit. Unfortunately, that might mean going outside of PA, but we'll see. Meanwhile, here's a photo from yesterday - this little secondary shoot is pushing up and being tended to by a little lady bug who is eating smaller bugs. That's what we like to see, these natural predators of pests! Each spring we release praying mantis egg cases, lady bugs, etc., hoping to establish sturdy and perennial populations in the vineyard and in the surrounding forest.

Todhunter Vineyards on the night and morning of the Great Freeze 2026! It's note easy to keep smudge pots going across 5+ acres for 8 hours -- we went through A LOT of kerosene.

Todhunter Vineyards was hit too, still assessing damage!

Overnight temperatures dropped into the mid-20s from New York down to Virginia. What it means for a lot of wineries is far less fruit to harvest this fall.
