It’s the end of August, which means we have a bit of time left for a few more summer specials. Like a shrimp boil. We haven’t had one of those around here for a month of Sundays. So why not.
Just like pickin’ crabs, a shrimp boil is all about being together with family and friends and plenty of cool, refreshing Lager Bier.
The Gunpowder Falls Brewing Shrimp Boil is a blend of Louisiana and Lowcountry styles with red potatoes, corn on the cob, Andouille sausage, and shrimp flavored with garlic and lemon. However, we go easy on the Cajun boil spices and add a bit more J.O. seasoning to it. (Afterall, not everyone this far north can handle true Cajun heat.)
This might make us a bit odd, but we like our food to have flavor. And we aren’t against a bit of heat in it either. (It kind of helps people drink more Bier, which helps us stay in business.) While all our Lager Biers go well with this meal, the clear thirst quencher here is the Helles. It’s light, clean and refreshing.
The Gunpowder Falls Brewing Shrimp Boil is served with our Housemade Bread. (Yes, we’re baking our own bread for this one people.) It comes with a Bier. $22.97 Available Friday, Saturday and Sunday while supplies last.
