Maine’s Freeport Fall Festival kicks off October 2nd, bringing three days of handmade goods, local food, live music, and family fun to downtown Freeport. The 27th annual festival runs through October 4th, with more than 200 New England artists, makers, and food producers filling several spots around town. You can shop for pottery, jewelry, paintings, photography, woodwork, candles, soaps, clothing, home décor, maple goods, baked treats, sauces, chocolates, and plenty more. The festival is also a juried show, with participating artists and makers chosen through an application process. Food trucks and local vendors will be serving plenty of sweet and savory choices, while musicians perform across five stages. Kids can enjoy free crafts, scavenger hunts, games, and other activities. Admission is completely free, and wheelchair-accessible shuttles run from the L.L.Bean corporate headquarters parking area. Festival hours are noon–6 Friday, 10–6 Saturday, and 10–4 Sunday.
