Our Black Cake is back!

Traditionally made during the holidays, Jamaican Christmas Cake is baked with dried fruits that are soaked for months in white rum and red wine and once baked, the cake is soaked again in Jamaican rum and red wine.

The result? A super moist and indulgent slice- you’ll want to eat the whole thing in one sitting.

This recipe is very dear to my heart, passed down from my mother, Sheryl, who perfected it. The Jamaican Christmas Cake is loaded with white rum, red wine, dried fruits that have been soaked and studded with cherries. It’s a Jamaican Christmas in food form and I can’t wait to share our tradition with you.

Have it on its own, with a brandy sauce, with ice cream, or with a glass of sorrel.
