Welcome back Owls! 🦉🍉

We had such a fun time seeing everyone back on campus or for the first time at the Owl Fest this afternoon! Thank you for joining us and we hope you enjoyed trying a variety of new flavors, greeting new people, or just hanging out in the nice weather! We offered many stations each with their own unique food style to choose from; including a classic baked potato bar, fried dough, Texas BBQ, Jamaican cuisine, and more!
Make sure to keep an eye out for more delicious events to come, all semester long! 👀

Wondering what to do if you have extra Food Loot?
You can purchase nonperishable food items and donate them to our food drive! 🥫
Canned, sealed, or boxed items are perfect to donate. See our examples in the video if you are not sure which items to purchase. Just make sure donations are NONPERISHABLE and that the items will not go bad or expire soon! You can place any food donation in the labeled food donation bins around campus. There are bins located outside the Bagel Wagon, Owl Perch, and Roberta's. A bin should be located on each floor of your dorm as well. Thanks for your donations!

Although Earth Month is over, we continued celebrating by hosting a plant your own herbs event. Students were able to pick the seeds they wanted, and plant them in upcycled egg cartons which is a sustainable switch from a plastic planter. Once the herbs are ready to be planted, the egg cartons can be placed into the ground where they will biodegrade. This allows for less waste and a flavorful addition to anyone's garden! 🌱

Although Earth Month is over, we continued celebrating by hosting a plant your own herbs event. This Wednesday, we hosted the Campus Kitchen Clash where our head chef Mike, faced off against the head chef from CCSU! Both chefs were challenged with making the best creation for students to vote on. Chef Mike crafted a sweet short rib grilled cheese and Chef Matthew from CCSU created a savory coconut shrimp ceviche! Which was your favorite?
