Look at those ROOTS! Summer intern Evan showing off stunning new Frontenac Blanc vines raised by India and Andy Farmer, the magicians at Northeastern Vine Supply.

We planted these beauties last week to fill in some gaps in the vineyard. This week brought lots of sun and some soaking rain and now they’re on their way! Looking forward to caring for these plants for decades to come. The wine will be a nice bonus.

NEW WINES

We’re thrilled to be popping the corks on the first of the 2025 wines this weekend! These are bright, fresh, and fruity wines perfect for the arrival of summer. Come by the tasting room this weekend to taste these beauties and bring home some bottles.

2025 LIMESTONE
lime juice. kiwi fuzz. flint.

2025 LA CRESCENT
peach blossom. white grapefruit. honeydew.

2025 BLACK SPARROW
meyer lemon. pixy stix. guava.

2025 was a relatively cool, dry growing season, allowing for slow, even ripening and big acidity. Compared to the rich, powerful wines of the 2024 vintage, we’ve found the 2025s to be more delicate with lots of complexity and nuance.

Stop and smell the roses!
FRI - SUN, 12-6pm
10% off glasses and bottles of the new wines all weekend

PIQUETTE IS BACK!

To celebrate the return of Friday Night Music, we’ll be releasing the 2025 Piquette Blanc and Piquette Rosé this weekend in the tasting room. At just 5.4% abv, the light, fruity, crushable nature of these piquettes (plus their perfectly portable package) make them the ideal bev for the outdoors. From the liquid inside to the beautiful label art, we want our piquettes to capture the feeling of warm sun shining on your face. Is piquette the unofficial official drink of summer? We think so.

What is piquette, you ask? Also called acqua pazza in Italy or lora in ancient Rome, piquette is the French term for a low-alcohol wine made by rehydrating pressed grape skins with water. After squeezing all the juice out of the grapes, the dry pomace that’s left behind still has lots of sugar and flavor. To make piquette, this pomace is collected and soaked in water, then refermented, extracting every last bit of potential from the grapes. The result is a light-bodied, low-alcohol wine traditionally consumed by vineyard workers on their lunch break (it still is, by the way…). With a history as old as wine itself, think of it like the OG spritzer or a White Claw that’s actually interesting.

2025 PIQUETTE BLANC
orange creamsicle. beeswax. tamarind.

2025 PIQUETTE ROSÉ
clementine. lavender. pink peppercorn.

Spontaneous fermentation. Natural bubbles. Zero added sulfites.

Friday Night Music is back at the vineyard NEXT WEEK!! Live music, food trucks, inspired wine & cider, and lotsa love. Every Friday, May 22 - August 28 ☀️

We spend all winter looking forward to the return of these Friday evenings. It’s our way of celebrating the summer and reminding us all why we live in Vermont. We love hosting such a beloved and energetic community event, though we’re pretty sure no one enjoys it more than Ella and Rosie.

Check the website for the full summer lineup and more details, and keep an eye out for updates from us. Entry is free for all!

🌭 Outside food is allowed but you should def try the food truck
🚫 No outside alcohol (we’ve got plenty)
🙈 Kids are welcome, as long as they don’t eat ALL the grapes
🦮 Leashed and friendly dogs
💃 Dancing shoes

See you next week!

Spring has arrived at the vineyard and we’re feeling drunk with joy. We’ve finished pruning and tying the vines just in time for them to awaken from their long rest. The lambs’ gentle hoofsteps are here to greet them, to tidy up around their feet, to leave behind a little fertilizer. The vetches and dandelions are here, too, to aerate the soil, to feed the roots of their neighbors, to remind us all of a vaguely familiar thing called color. The birds have arrived to sing for us, to hunt for the voles among the vines, to make sure we look up from time to time.

Spring is a time of great joy for us and all those living with us on the farm. We hope that they’re grateful for our care. We hope that they’re as excited for the season as we are.
