Our blind girl Laramie had her third calf for us last week, and he’s a white bull just like his daddy! Her first two calves with us (the last two years), she tried so hard to be a good mom. But she would bed her calves down out in the field and then forget where she left them 😅 So they both ended up being bottle fed babies. This year I decided we should try putting a bell on the calf. And voilá… it’s working great! Laramie is seriously the best mom ever, and she’s loving being able to raise her own child this year. We are so impressed with how she has learned to live an almost completely normal cow life while being blind. 😍
