Happy New Year, Our Most Cherished Customers,
Our family has decided that Couch's Corner Berries is well-positioned to permanently close starting today, January 1st, 2024. Fifteen years ago, Couch's Corner Berries started as a pick-your-own blueberry farm using just an acre of our land. From there, we quickly expanded our farm to include blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries. We also received advice from local partners to raise bees near our berries to pollinate them which led to the honey available from us today. Over our fifteen years, we've also had the incredible opportunity to meet all of our customers, whether they came directly to our farm, or met us at an event like the West Point Crab Carnival or the Urbanna Oyster Festival.
Three years ago, our family experienced the loss of the founder of our business, Thomas Couch Sr., who was a father and grandfather to us, and most of all, loved and cherished by many. While this loss affected us deeply, we continued Couch's Corner Berries to provide for our community that has grown to love our berries and other products. However, it has also required significantly more time and resources from all of us that has been difficult to provide, which led us to our decision to permanently close Couch's Corner Berries starting today, January 1st, 2024.
We want to thank all of you for your continued support throughout our 15 years and hope you're able to find berries, honey, and ciders just as great as ours.
Thank you,
Couch's Corner Berries
