Ending the season on a high note…..!!!

We always have such a great time when the [self-proclaimed] Ruth’s Cuties join us for their annual dinner party. This evening was such a blast - thanks for joining us, ladies! We look forward to hosting again next year!

Tonight, we hosted this group of friends who initially all met for the first time over a shared meal at Ruth’s a few years back. They’ve since become known as the “Ruth’s Cuties”. This evening’s chef’s menu consisted of our Spring Pea Soup, our Honey Miso Short Rib over Potato Pave, our Signature Chilled Asparagus, Pan-Seared Swordfish with Lemon Pepper Risotto and our Olive Oil Cake with Strawberry Rhubarb Sauce and Lemon Ice Cream.

Over at the bar, Lauren kept busy with her Signature Cocktails of the evening, Ricky helped as my Sous Chef and Keith filled in where needed:

We had such an amazing evening with the Homan family tonight as they joined us to celebrate Deb’s upcoming birthday with a surprise dinner party! Conversation, laughter and cocktails were flowing as this family gathered around our table to celebrate this special occasion. The Chef’s menu consisted of our Corn Chowder, our Garlic Shrimp with Parmesan Risotto, our Chilled Asparagus with Gribiche Sauce, a Pan-Seared Filet with Gorgonzola Grits and Balsamic Blueberries and a Blueberry Cinnamon Roll Bread Pudding with Buttered Rum Sauce and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. Thank you to this family for joining us this evening. Happy Birthday, Deb!!

Over at the bar, Keith kept busy with his Signature cocktails of the evening while I managed the kitchen:

Proud husband moment this afternoon as Keith was presented with the Young Funeral Directors Distinguished Service Award at this year’s OFDA Convention. This award is reserved for all funeral directors under the age of 40 in the state of Ohio who set an outstanding example, both in and out of the industry, in the communities they serve. Proud to be married to this man who serves so selflessly around the community and for every family he assists during their time of need. Such an awesome and well-deserved award. ❤️

(I was invited last week to surprise him in Columbus at the ceremony today when his name was announced as this year’s recipient. So happy I no longer have to keep this a secret! 🤣)

As an added bonus, the award was presented to him by last year’s recipient, our friend and Head Sous Chef, Jenn. ❤️👨🏻‍🍳👨🏻‍🍳👩🏻‍🍳

We’re deep into the middle of our Spring season at Ruth’s, with our scheduled events quickly dwindling down. This evening, we were so happy to welcome Keith’s Aunt and Uncle and their friends as one of our final groups of the season before our Summer hiatus begins. The chef’s menu consisted of our Spring Pea Soup, Pan-Seared Steak with Roasted Red Pepper Polenta and Chimichurri, our Chilled Asparagus with Gribiche Sauce, Pan-Seared Swordfish with Lemon Pepper Risotto and our Cheesecake with Strawberry Rhubarb Sauce and Pistachio Ice Cream. Thank you to this group for joining us this evening!

Over at the Chef’s Counter, a mother and daughter joined us this evening as they enjoyed their first dinner experience at Ruth’s. Thank you to these two ladies for joining us this evening! We had such a great time hosting for both of these groups!

Meanwhile, at the bar, Keith kept busy with his Signature cocktails of the evening:

They say “girls just wanna have fun” and boy, did we ever as we hosted this group of women once again this evening! It’s always such an awesome time when we get to hang out with this group! We were so excited to welcome these ladies from Michigan, our cousins, Kim and Tina, and their friends, back to Ruth’s for their third dinner party. The Chef’s seasonal menu consisted of our Corn & Leek Soup, our Signature Ravioli with Braised Pork Shoulder, our Blanched & Chilled Asparagus with Gribiche Sauce, a Pan-Seared Filet with Tomato Risotto and Chimichurri and a Lemon Butter Cake with Blueberry Ice Cream and Limoncello Syrup. Thank you to this group of ladies for joining us this evening. We can’t wait to host for you again!

This evening, we were also excited to be able to welcome back floral arrangements from our friends, Jake and Jake at Petal and Plume, as their busy season is upon us once again. Stay tuned to their page for future build-your-own-bouquet events during the next few months.

Tonight, we kicked off the first of our Spring events as we welcomed Travis and his office staff back to Ruth’s for their annual celebration of birthdays. This evening’s chef’s menu consisted of our Potato Leek Soup, Pan-Seared Duck Breast with Plum Sauce, our Signature Roasted Carrots, Pan-Seared Filet Mignon with Gorgonzola Risotto and Balsamic Blueberries and a Carrot Cake Bread Pudding with Bourbon Sauce. After what seemed like an eternity, the Ruth’s chefs returned to the kitchen this evening, at long last!

This weekend’s (slightly) warmer temperatures inspired us to feature a Spring-forward menu tonight at Ruth’s! We were excited to welcome Mandy and her friends back this evening as they enjoyed another dinner party with us. Tonight’s Chef’s menu consisted of our Sweet Pea Soup, our Signature Ravioli with Garlic Shrimp and Tarragon Honey Cream, our Signature Roasted Carrots, Pan-Seared Filet Mignon with Roasted Red Pepper Risotto and a Lemon Butter Cake with Blackberry Ice Cream and Lemon Curd. Thank you to this group for joining us this evening. We had a great time!
