We have been working on a fun project where we take multiple Pokémon cards and carefully cut them to build a layered 3D card scene. Each layer comes from a different copy of the same card, and when they’re stacked together it gives the artwork real depth, almost like the Pokémon is popping right out of the card.
In this video we are showing off a custom 3D printed case that was made specifically to hold and protect the finished piece. Since these layered cards take a lot of time and precision to create, we wanted something sturdy that would keep everything aligned while also making it easy to display.
It’s been a really satisfying mix of crafting and 3D printing, and we love seeing the artwork come to life once all the layers are together.
