Our family raises grassfed beef, natural pork, pasture raised chicken and eggs from our family to yours Please call for availability.

Our family farm is located just south of Minneapolis and St. Paul right off of I-35 and twenty minutes from the Mall of America. Our family farm was founded by John J. Zweber in 1906.Today, the farm is owned by John's grandson Jon and his wife Lisa in partnership with their son Tim and his wife Emily. We raise sustainably raised grass fed beef, pork, pasture chickens, and free range eggs. Our mis

sion is to provide your family wholesome, fresh and great tasting meat. You never have to worry about what you fed your family when you purchase from us. We sell direct from our farm and straight to your family's table. If you are interested in ordering meat from us, please give us a call at 952-461-3428 or via email at [email protected]. We will walk you through the entire process and answer all your questions. When you come to our farm to purchase, you will be able to meet with us, tour our farm and see the animals. Check out our website for ordering details. Currently, we have one pound packages of pasture raised ground beef and pasture whole frozen chickens available all year. We also have custom orders of beef and pork packages. We often have a waiting list (because we really do have great tasting meats).

Well I guess I’m not getting that final rhetorical essay out of him…our middle son is chatting with Tim as they prepare equipment for hay harvest.

As some of you know we homeschool our kids. The school year official ends whenever hay harvesting season starts. That day is today.

We will be harvesting every 21-30 days (depending on rain). This will be our feed for our dairy and beef animals over the winter.

Make hay while the sun shines!

Memorial Day prayer service and Civil War veteran walking tour tomorrow!

Join the American Legion and VFW leaders of this community for a prayer service tomorrow at the St Nicholas Cemetery. The service is outside by flag pole.

Following the service, Ron Zweber will hold a Civil War walking tour. He will highlight the Civil War veterans buried in the cemetery. Learn about New Market history and some of its founding citizens. Ron is a local history enthusiast and member of the Scott County Historical Society Board. Ron is also Jon’s older brother and Tim’s Godfather.

Meet Edna.

Keeping on the name theme of “popular names from 1906” we have reached Edna.

I think we all have a story of a wonderful, kind hearted woman named Edna. My parents bought their farm from a Walter and Edna. Edna passed when I was little, but I knew her as the kind woman up the road who my Dad was always helping.

What is your Edna story?

Beautiful first day out on pasture for 2026. They were so happy for the fresh grass that they didn’t feel the need to run around much. Right down to grazing.

As you may know, we name every calf that stays on our farm. Each year we have a new theme. The theme for this year is top baby names from 1906. Our farm was bought by John J Zweber in 1906, 120 years ago (hence the year).

I am making my way down the "official" baby name list on Baby Center. With a flood of calves born over the past week, we have arrived at Alice.

Sometime in the future, I will be telling Tim about Alice, the cow, and he will turn to me and say in seriousness "Alice, who the (bleep) is Alice." We will then pause, laugh and sing the song.

Is "Living Next Door to Alice" played at all the weddings in your area? It is at in ours and of course we have to add the lyrics above to every chorus.
