2026 Wetzel County 4-H and FFA Livestock Club Grand Champion Market Hog, Grand Champion Market Steer and Grand Champion Feeder Heifer!

Her hog was provided by Runway Farm, her steer and feeder heifer were provided by Indian Ridge Farm, and full circle moment, the mother of her steer was her feeder heifer, Holly, from a few years ago. ☺️

She was also awarded Champion Jr. Showman in all 3 species!

Thank you to everyone who supports our girl. We are extremely proud and very appreciative.

Get up early in the morning and stop at the Clover Cafe to get your breakfast. Then, head over to the barn at Town and Country Days to watch the livestock conformation show at 9am. Our favorite farm girl will be showing her market steer, market hog, and feeder heifer. She'll also be competing for Junior Showman with each species.

Hank, Megan, and Sabrina are all settled in at the fair. Hank got a bath earlier (that he wasn't too fond of) and then a blow dry. Stop by the barn and say hello.

Bruno was enjoying his first day at the fair with a little pampering in the "Swine Spa.''

Something not talked about often, when talking about 4H & FFA kids' projects, is the time spent prepping leading up to the fair. These kids spend countless hours working with their animals in the barn, but there's so much more to it than just getting the animal set up right, learning to walk with their head up, and trained to being worked with. Pressure washing equipment, cleaning halters, prepping food rations for each animal, and all the work before the fair so the kids can go into the ring and present their animals. There's only 7 days until weigh in, but Ayla's market steer project started last fall. Pigs and feeder calves over the winter and through the spring. See ya at Town & Country Days in the barn on Wednesday morning at 9am for the show and Thursday evening at 7pm for the auction. Come and fill your freezer while supporting our future generation's hard work and efforts.
