šŸŽ¶šŸŽ¶ Riding on the City of New Orleans šŸŽ¶šŸŽ¶

It’s not Monday morning, but I am heading up to Illinois Central…

The train may not be as fast as an airplane, but I have a private room with cushy seats, two beds, and my own bathroom. And, if you didn’t know, you’re also allowed to bring your own whiskey. It’s my first time on a train and I’m not sure there’s any other way to travel.

FYI, this Saints Alley ā€œthe Noblemanā€ is quite possibly the best Tokaji finished rye I’ve had! I’m really looking forward to expanding distribution into Louisiana sometime in the near future.

Shoutout to .distance.drinking for generously sharing his whiskey with us.

Inspired by and - a fall inspired cocktail (because it’s still kind of fall in NOLA)… The citrus and baking spice in work pretty well with the honey and spice notes in Drambui in this 2-ingredient cocktail. (2oz Gm : 1/2oz Dram)

Thanks to the folks over at for sharing this bottle of their port cask finish single malt scotch with me. Since I don’t typically dabble with scotch, this should be a fun one for me to play around with.

One of the benefits of having friends in low places (I kid) is getting to taste through all of Still Austin’s seasonal bottled-in-bond series! It’s like Christmas came early. The Red Corn and High Rye were unbelievably thoughtful releases, so I’m excited to jump into this one Sunday with a few friends.

How much of this bottle of Foundation should I drink while is off galavanting around Paris?

described this release nicely. I really love the zesty lemon vibe!

Big thanks to BCS and Mike for sharing this release with me. BCS may need to send Mikey another bottle, because I don’t see this one sticking around long😬😬

Something fun is going down over at ! and I were fortunate to enjoy a preview of this Kentucky sourced low rye, re-barreled in a previously used toasted barrel from . So much added depth in just 2-months. Can’t wait to see how this one develops. And, just between you and me, there’s also a really killer double barreled bourbon aging right next to this one.

Terroir is an often overlooked aspect in the world of American whiskey, yet holds significant importance. Still Austin’s bottled in bond release boldly showcases the best of what Texas has to offer. The incorporation of locally sourced grains and native yeast emphasizes the essence of Texas and also contributes to the whiskey’s unique character. The savory nutty browned butter is nicely balanced by sweet berries and brĆ»lĆ©ed sugar.

Thank you for sharing some of you’re newest release with me!

I’d be a touch heart broken right now if I didn’t have a full one waiting in the wings…

House is clean, laundry is done, dinner was served, dishes are clean— it’s time to relax!

I love everything about this collaboration!
