This year, as Purim starts tomorrow, I baked up a few dozen hamentaschen at the request of a friend, and was given liberty to do whatever style and flavor for a RuPaul’s Drag Race-inspired Purim party. So naturally I tried my hand at making Rainbow Hamentaschen (flavored filling of orange dark chocolate).

The best part of baking is always watching people enjoy it, but I will say I was honored to also walk away with the prize of the biggest ✨sparkly ✨hamentaschen for having best voted hamentaschen.

Needless to say, the whole party slayed and everybody served up Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve, and ‘Taschen!

There’s nothing like a good savory challah creations, except maybe when it’s a BBQ brisket stuffed challah 😍😍

Yesterday, I FINALLY got to try a creation I had hoped to make for the last week of King Cake Fe(a)st last Thursday but unable to make it due to being under the weather. Since I’m finally feeling better, this was the only king cake flavor combo I was itching to try, and MAN, it did not disappoint!

It’s THAT time, folks! Yes it’s the first week I’ll be at slinging slices of some glorious king cake flavors, old favorites AND new ones too!

Here’s a teaser of my traditional challah king cake, and I’ll post a menu closer to Thursday. In the meantime, I’ve still got some flavor testing to do (but you’re gonna love it)!

It’s been a month, y’all, and it’s only February, whew!

So with a bit of a delay and some bearing with me, I am opening challah king cake orders!

Due to my work schedule I won’t be doing Friday pickups this year, but instead will likely keep them on Wednesdays throughout the rest of the weeks orders are open.

This past week it may have been snowing and we all were stuck inside, but that was where I had to be anyways, as I was baking up my own ‘storm’.

Last night was ‘s 175th anniversary dinner, and I worked with my friend to help provide all the desserts after his delicious meals. All in all, I heard lots of folks left very full and very happy!

Such a wonderful Shabbat being able to do and support multiple things I am passionate about: baking AND breast cancer awareness and supporting further research for it.

I had the honor of baking a cancer ribbon challah as well as a naturally dyed pink challah (that was decimated quickly, as seen in the last picture 😉) and some sweet treats for the oneg.

Thanks so much to and for organizing a wonderful service and especially pink oneg!

And a little PSA this Breast Cancer Awareness Month, don’t delay on getting your preventative screenings (ie mammograms, pap smears, prostate and colon cancer screenings too), as they could save your life!

For those that didn’t get a round challah for Rosh Hashanah (or did but want more), I’ll be taking pre-orders for Yom Kippur/Break Fast.

DM to order by Wednesday night, with pick up being this Friday, October 11 from 3-5pm.

As part of Challah Creation’s pledge to always donate a portion of sales to tzedakah, a portion of sales from all High Holiday orders will be donated to Magen David Adom, Israel’s national emergency medical response organization.
