Look who showed up here all the way from Idaho! This is our newest herdsire, SKWest RK Pound Cake (TUA Farms AC Rocket x SKWest AP Strawberry Shortcake)

In our quest to continue adding production and persistent lactations to our Nigerian herd, going to the SKWest herd seemed like the right step. This guy's pedigree is loaded with milk! His dam Strawberry milked 1100 lbs as a yearling, and she is elite 99 percentile. Her dam, Southside Rice Crispy, is also elite 99 percentile, with lactations of over 1500lbs!

Pound Cake is a paternal brother to the fabulously productive SKWest RK Panda Puff, who milked over 1700lbs as a 2 year old, and has the highest PTI21 of any living Nigerian doe! Pound Cake's dam is a maternal sister to Panda, so he is closely related to this powerhouse milker!

Pound Cake's sire, TUA Farms AC Rocket, is out of TUA Farms CMB Gamora, a doe with 1100+lb lactations, and Rocket is proving to really sire production, having several daughters with 1100+lb lactations.
