Introducing the Silverudd’s Blue! We’ve been waiting all year to get this flock home. They come from fantastic lines and we are excited to make them a focus.

The Silverudd’s Blue is a Swedish heritage breed. They are active in the yard, good layers, and hardy. Beautiful and good natured, they come in blue, black, and splash. They are more of a mid sized breed and are famous for their green eggs that are often speckled. They are actually the only single combed breed to do so!

A few speckled beauties that were just too pretty not to take a picture of. We have a few poultry projects planned for next spring and hope to have many more speckled eggs as a result!

Also, can you tell it’s been a hot week in MN? These eggs were out of the refrigerator for just a few minutes and sweating already!

All are in coops of their own now!

Our last babies for the year have hatched! These chicks were so busy sifting through the shavings, it was hard to get good pictures. But I promise, they’re cute! 😆

Our newest little additions, the Lemon Owlbeard! The Dutch Owlbeard is a historical breed from Holland. They are not only beautiful but cold hardy and active. So far they have been little busy bees but also fairly laid back. We are excited to have them here and see how they grow out!

All have found coops of their own! We will have one last hatch for the season in a few weeks.

Chicks available!

They were hatched this last weekend. These little Ameraucanas were adorable modeling for their pictures today! Ameraucanas will always be one of my favorite breeds.

2 Ameraucanas
4 Olive Eggers (two are F2)
1 Moss Egger
3 Easter Eggers

All straight run. Pick up in New Prague, MN but we will possibly be traveling towards the south side of the cities and near the Cottage Grove/Afton area this weekend.
