Today we celebrate a woman whose love for her son inspired something truly special.
What began as a desire to create opportunities for her adult son with Down syndrome grew into a mission-driven gift basket business dedicated to employing and empowering adults with disabilities.
Your faith, determination, and belief in the potential of every person have opened doors, changed lives, and created opportunities for so many. You have shown that a mother's love can become a powerful force for good, building a community where people are valued for their gifts, talents, and abilities.

Alec's Gift Baskets had the honor of providing gift boxes at a NYSE closing bell reception in April. The event was to honor the 10th anniversary of the Voya Financial "Voya Cares" program. A big thank you to Jerry Hulick of Caring Consulting for sponsoring the AGB gifts, and to Voya for providing resources to help with financial planning for people with disabilities thru Voya Cares!

Today we pause to honor and remember Carla, an incredible person who created our logo and believed in our mission.

Carla created what we see as the perfect logo. But if you asked her, she would humbly tell you it was all God. That was who she was.

Her faith was evident in her work, her words, and the way she lived her life.
We are so grateful that God allowed our paths to cross, and we will carry her memory with us always.

Rest in peace, Carla. You will always be a part of our story.
