Every year the Waseca County Dairy Board presents a local business with the Butter Knife Award. The award goes to a business that uses real dairy products within their products. We greatly appreciate all our past award winners.
This years Butter Knife Award goes to Lush Cakes of Waseca.
Huge thank you for continuing to support our dairy industry!

The Waseca County ADA was able to go and have a great supper and also present Pleasant Grove Pizza Farm with the Golden Butter Knife award for their use of real dairy products. The atmosphere is amazing and the pizza….even better!

The milking parlor is one of the most important places on a dairy farm. Cleanliness and comfort in the parlor are super important for both the cows and people.

Typically, parlors have a pretty relaxing and quiet environment, though you may occasionally hear farmers jamming out to their favorite tunes. 🎶

Cows are creatures of habit, so they love the routine of coming in for milking at the same time every day. The milking process is also quite quick. Each milking takes between 5-7 minutes.

Once the milking is done, the cows make a stop for water and then either head back to their beds or to the bunk for more feed.

Katy, McKenna, and Allie had a great time at Farmamerica’s Santa Experience last night. They capped the night off heading to the Christmas lights at the Waseca County Fairgrounds.
