When Jason, Dale, and Peter got together and married years of process manufacturing, silicon valley fundraising, and sustainable agriculture backgrounds, Boondocks Hops was born. As a family run farming enterprise, we are focused on enabling access of locally grown, quality hops to the Cincinnati metro area craft beer producers.

Hello fellow hop growers. It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing that the 2021 season at Boondocks Hops was our final season growing hops. Lucky for you, our loss is your gain. We are selling all of our hop growing and processing equipment. And let me tell you we have amassed quite the collection over the years. To name a few:

And just like that, another harvest is complete. All of our wet hop orders are out the door and in the hands of some awesome brewers - we cannot wait to taste what they create. Now we are onto pelletizing the rest of our 2021 harvest so that local breweries can all year round!

There is literally nothing easy about growing hops in Southern Ohio (or anywhere, for that matter). Every season offers opportunities for growth and improvement next year - which is what makes farming so challenging and rewarding. Some days and seasons are easier than others, but as long as we can drink our hops in local beer... it is all worth it!
