We traveled to Ankeny today to compete at this years VFW Post 9662 - Boline Manfredi Red, White and Que. We have done this competition for many years and it’s always a favorite.
It was special to us this year as we cooked in honor of a friend who is no longer with us.
We finished out of 22 teams…
🥉 3rd place Ribs
7th place Chicken
18th place Spam (I’d be fine if I never cooked this crap again)
And we finished 8th overall.

Congrats to Bucknutz BBQ for the GC Win!! Always great to see bbq friends succeed like they did!!
Time to enjoy the offseason and see what next year brings.

2025 has been a quiet competition year for us but we are looking forward to Lynnville this weekend to compete in the Smoke on the Water BBQ Competition & Benefit.
Come on out Saturday at 4pm for all you can eat BBQ and to help raise money for a family in need.

Had a fun day today in Des Moines. Competed at the VFW to raise money for their cause! Ribs, chicken and Mac & Cheese was on the menu to cook for the Judges,
We finished….
6th Mac and cheese
7th Chicken
1st Ribs
And 4th overall!

Congrats to Chester's Twisted Que for their GC!

Also special shout-out to Bbq Pit Bros for lending us Richard today. He helped us today and I hear he is available to cook for your team if you need it! I give him full props for our good finish today!

Our next event will be Iowa BBQ Store for the Monarch of the Munchies in November! Hope to see you there!
