A Note from Mary
Happy Friday! The weekend is finally here, and tonight is Bring Your Own Vinyl—one of my favorite nights. Bring a record, share a song, enjoy a glass of wine, and catch up with friends. Tomorrow is our Prosecco Grand Tasting with over a dozen of proseccos to taste and we have 6 tickets left! Oh and the awesome Craig Smith playing jazzy Spanish guitar!
Now, for a little personal note.
If you've known me for a while, you know I'm a very transparent person. (I blame the Puerto Rican in me. 😊)
Summer is always a slower season in hospitality, and this year has been especially challenging. Between changing economies, travel patterns, and a busy calendar of events, small businesses everywhere are working extra hard to keep doing what they love.
Every time you choose to visit a local business, you're doing so much more than buying a glass of wine or ordering dinner. You're supporting families, helping someone chase a dream, and allowing small places with big hearts to continue creating spaces where people can gather.
For us, Decant and Cru Table aren't side projects—they're our passion and our full-time commitment. It is our sole income. Every glass of wine, every tapas order, every bottle, gift card, and wine club membership helps us continue building the kind of place we always dreamed of: one where people feel welcome, conversations linger, and community grows.
If you've visited, you've probably seen that it's truly a family affair. You might catch Luca saying hello outside, Chris in the kitchen creating something delicious or fixing whatever needs fixing, me behind the bar chatting about wine, and now Tabitha, who has become such an incredible part of our little team and cares about this place as much as we do.
Wherever life has taken us, we've always found community through wine. Last week we visited our former wine shop in North Carolina, and standing there reminded me of why we do this. The laughter, the familiar faces, the friendships—that sense of belonging is what inspires us every day.
I truly believe there is room for everyone. Every local business brings something unique to our community, and together we make our town a more vibrant place.
So if you've been thinking about stopping by, we'd love to meet you. And if you've already supported us, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
To our Sanford friends: thank you for making the drive, spending weekends with us, and welcoming my new little family with open arms. Your support means more than you know.
To our New Smyrna Beach neighbors: we're so excited to be part of this community and hope we'll become one of your favorite places to unwind, discover a new wine, and enjoy great conversation.
**Hidden Off Canal. Worth Discovering.**
A place for people who love great wine, great conversation, and discovering something new.
I hope to meet you soon.
Cheers,
Mary
