There are more benefits than one can count but here are five that come to mind..

1) The grain market fluctuates, as does the price of lamb. However, one usually carries the team while the other is wavering

2) They're easy for me to handle. I'm able to tackle crazy ewes, unlike dealing with a heifer or sow (yes, it's a sight to see)

3) Having sheep strengthens my relationship with The Lord. "My sheep hear my voice, & I know them, & they follow me"

4) Lambing "keeps me out of trouble" according to Dad. I like to stay busy; getting outside helps my mental health, especially in the wintertime

5) Being in the sheep industry has created some forever friendships that would've never started otherwise
