Fair Week was a success! The kids had fun , the animals behaved, and the parents survived (barely)! It’s always such a great time to see our friends and family, but it’s so busy and stressful, too!
On Saturday we entered our Ag Commodities and Libby and Josh hit a deer 🦌 🫣👎🏻 (they are fine and the car can be fixed). On Monday we showed our beef heifers and they were on their best behavior. Tuesday we brought 2/4 of our beef market steers (long story-but safety is the most important thing) & showed our pigs (what a crazy morning)! Wednesday we brought our cakes and cookies, Josh walked his cake and Mr. Jacob Puckett bought it at the cake auction. The swine market show was that night so we are not sure who bought Libby’s cake. Thursday we showed our steers and they were also well behaved. And finally…Friday night was the Livestock Auction and that is always exciting, sad, and stressful because it’s the end…
A special thanks to all of our family and friends who came out to visit and watch us show either on the internet or in person (we didn’t get to grab a picture of everyone) & the amazing volunteers at the fair (especially Mr. Ryan)!
A very special thank you to our community who bought Libby & Josh’s animals at the Livestock auction: Mr. Aaron Puckett, Westminster Nappa Auto Parts, O’Meara Contracting, & Mr. Tony Stapleton. We also have to thank Heather and Matt Cole from Mollis Cafe who are our emotional support friends on auction night & all year long!!
What a week!!
