We are a 4th generation family farm nestled in the lakes area of Minnesota. Located just a few miles SE of Perham, our convenient location is perfect for spending a day with family enjoying our u-pick farm & corn maze. 🍓 Thanks to the cool, wet weather we’ve had, our strawberry field needs a little extra time to ripen. We will be CLOSED ALL DAY THURSDAY.

🍓 U-Pick will reopen Friday morning, and RESERVATIONS WILL BE REQUIRED.

🚨 RESERVATIONS WILL BE POSTED AND AVAILABLE THURSDAY EVENING AT 8:00 PM.

If you visit our website before then, reservations will show as “Sold Out,” but you can still read all the details and find answers to most of your questions.

📍 Reservation arrival times for Friday:
• anytime between 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM

We will update our phone line Friday morning between 9 & 9:30am if we are able to offer walk-up picking without reservations for the remainder of the morning.

🚶‍♀️Walk-up Picking Information:
IF berries are still available after reserved pickers have entered the field, customers may be able to come and pick between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM without a reservation. However, please call the farm first to verify that enough strawberries remain for picking.

⚠️ Looking Ahead:
Depending on the weather and how heavily the field is picked Friday, there is a good possibility we will be CLOSED Saturday and reopen Sunday morning. We are hopeful that by next week our entire field will be producing, allowing us to be open daily for U-Pick. We’re also hoping to add a few evening picking sessions for those who can’t make it in the mornings.

🇺🇸We currently expect to remain open through at least July 4, and possibly until July 10 or even a few days beyond.

Due to tough growing seasons and having fewer acres in production this year and because other area farms are not opening, demand for U-Pick strawberries is extremely high. Unfortunately, we will NOT be offering pre-picked strawberries this season.

🌱We have planted an additional 21,000 plants this past May with plans of having double the acreage in 2027.

You Pick is CLOSED for the remainder of the day.

😎Due to the cool weather, we most likely will not be open Thursday but check back Wednesday night after 6pm, just in case.

🗓️It’s looking like we will have you pick on Friday morning RESERVATIONS will be REQUIRED and posted Thursday evening at 8 PM for Friday morning picking.

🇺🇸We plan to be open through July 4th-maybe even July 10! As the weather gets warmer, we will have more and more ripe berries available, and hopefully be able to offer dailey you pick next week.

While we wait for more ripe berries, 🤔How do you keep your strawberries happy?!

🍓From our long time customer, Lana: clean them, pat dry them, and then put them out on flat cookie sheets and freeze them well and then vacuum seal them. If no air gets in there, they have lasted me a year and have tasted just as good!

🕰️6/23/26 8:35pm 🍓 WEDNESDAY morning (6/24) U-pick strawberry reservations are now SOLD OUT.

📞 CALL AFTER 9:00 AM on Wednesday (6/24), we will know whether strawberries are available for walk-up picking (no reservation required) for the remainder of Wednesday morning.

📅 We will not know until Wednesday afternoon/evening whether we will be open on Thursday morning (6/25). If we are able to open, reservations will be posted the evening before at 8:00 PM.

We do hope to have evening picking sometime in the next week.

ℹ️This is only day four of the season and we are just getting started. Our field is not anywhere close to full production yet.

We should be picking Strawberries through at least July 4 this summer, maybe through the 10th.

Because our acreage is smaller this year, we’ve implemented a reservation system to better manage demand and help ensure guests can enjoy a successful picking experience rather than arriving after the field has already been picked out and being turned away.

✅ We will be OPEN Wednesday (6/24/26) morning for U-pick strawberries.
🎟️ Reservations are REQUIRED

• Reservations go on sale at 8:00 PM
• Purchase online at www.otterberryfarm.com
• They may sell out quickly—we had a very busy picking day on Tuesday and this will only be our fourth day of the season.

 ☎️Call the phone line around 9 AM Wednesday morning in case we do have extra Strawberries and are able to offer walk up picking/no reservations required. 

🌱 We never know until the evening before whether we’ll be able to open the next day. We must walk the fields and make sure there are enough ripe strawberries available for picking.

📢 We will post an update Tuesday evening regarding whether we will be open for picking on Wednesday.

Please note:
✅ Most days this summer will REQUIRE reservations.
🍓 If enough strawberries remain after our reservation picking period (8:00–9:00 AM), we will update our phone line after 9:00 AM to announce walk-up picking (no reservation required).

⏰ Walk-up picking, when available, will be open until 11:30 AM that same morning.

🌞 On some days, when we know we have a large volume of ripe berries, we may open for U-Pick without requiring reservations.

Tuesday morning 6/23 9:30 AM update!

We have tons of Strawberries for picking- it is not raining at the farm. We do plan to close at 10:30 AM so head on over here ASAP! We will post an update later tonight if we will be open on Wednesday morning.

☔️Weather forecast shows rain starting around 10:30 to 11AM arrive at the farm between 8 AM and 8:30am you will have plenty of time to pick your Strawberries! 

Our website will continue to say reservations sold out because they will not be needed on Tuesday! We are doing walk up picking only!
