We’re so excited to announce our latest collaboration with our pals at . BOOK CLUB is a bang up blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The name stems from a couple layers that immediately went through my mind while tasting the tank samples. Most superficially, we’ve been known to call Chardonnay ‘book club juice’ and a similar vibe for Pinot Noir. Next, the only fiction that has ever been and will ever be at the shop full time is The Stranger by Camus. I kind of love absurdism and it fits with a blend of two varieties that aren’t typically blended. Lastly, the protagonist (if you can call him that) is named Meursault. Burgundy is wild. Some of the best wine in the world comes from that region. It’s also, arguably, the region that imparts the most exclusivity and elitism to wine. One thing I love. One thing I hate. Also Meursault is a region that only puts out Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
We love working with and to make this happen. Monica and Beno are fantastic wine makers. John is a fantastic importer and facilitator. This is our third release and since we started working together there have been babies, marriages, and a billion bottles of wine. Here’s to a billion more. 🥂
