Look inside this bag! We packed up nectarines, oranges, mangos, apples, tomatoes, cucumbers, canned beans, pasta, and fresh breads and baked goods from Levain Bakery and sent every middle schooler home with one 🥭🍊🍅. Chef Genny even whipped up a delicious fresh salad using some of the same ingredients in the bags.

This is what nourishing and educating Bronx youth looks like.

Big shoutout to Fordham University’s Liberty Partnerships Program for creating enriching programs that support health and wellness — keep up the amazing work!

Last class for students at IS 229 = no-bake banana date bites!
These looked seriously professional. Students topped them with ground walnuts, coconut, and chocolate — and the vote for favorite was very close 😋— yum! Thank you, Chef Rebecca!

Middle school students at IS 229 learned how to make their third plant-based recipe in less than two weeks—this time by preparing Chef Rebecca’s Veggie Stir Fry with Tofu and Herbed Lemon Rice!

It’s never too early to learn how to put together a delicious meal from scratch. This recipe pops with bold flavors and fresh ingredients, including ginger, garlic, parsley, tamari, red pepper flakes, and sesame seeds—the students loved every bite.
