Looking for a special bottle for the weekend? Gérard Boulay’s Sancerre is the one. A beautifully mineral‑driven Sauvignon Blanc from the tiny area of Chavignol—just a few hundred acres of steep, chalky slopes. Chavignol is very small, a compact winegrowing hamlet tucked into the western slopes, where Boulay works some of the region’s most prized vineyards. This is a terroir‑driven wine with real precision—special to drink now, and equally worthy of cellaring.

Between the rain and the humidity, a fuller‑style rosé sounds like the right move. Terrebrune is a producer from Bandol, the Mediterranean‑facing corner of southeastern Provence known for producing some age‑worthy rosés.

Mourvèdre leads this blend and with depth, spice, and that signature savory backbone, while Grenache adds warmth and red‑fruit charm, and Cinsault brings finesse and lift. Terrebrune captures the balance beautifully.

Jurançon is in southwest France, just outside Pau in the Pyrénées‑Atlantiques. One of its signature grapes, Petit Manseng, delivers a bright, zesty white with crisp acidity, lifted fruit, and that unmistakable Pyrenean freshness in the glass! If you’re looking to explore try a Petit Manseng from Charles Hours!
