6 SHRIMP RECIPES WITH SIDE DISHES
1. GARLIC BUTTER SHRIMP WITH ROASTED POTATOES
Ingredients:
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 cups baby potatoes, halved
3 tbsp butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
Season the potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning. Roast at 400°F for 30–35 minutes, or until golden and tender. In a skillet, melt the butter and sauté the garlic for 1 minute. Add the shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and juicy. Add lemon juice and parsley. Serve the garlic butter shrimp with the roasted potatoes.
2. CREAMY CAJUN SHRIMP WITH PASTA
Ingredients:
1 lb large shrimp
12 oz pasta
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1½ tbsp Cajun seasoning
½ tsp paprika
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
Cook the pasta according to package directions and reserve a little pasta water. Season the shrimp with Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet, then cook the shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside. In the same skillet, add garlic, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and a splash of pasta water. Stir until creamy. Add the pasta and shrimp back in, toss well, and garnish with parsley.
3. LEMON HERB SHRIMP WITH RICE AND VEGETABLES
Ingredients:
1 lb large shrimp
2 cups cooked white rice
2 cups steamed broccoli and carrots
2 tbsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp lemon zest
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp parsley
Salt and black pepper to taste
Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions:
Season the shrimp with garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, oregano, parsley, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook the shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until tender and pink. Serve with fluffy white rice, steamed broccoli, carrots, and fresh lemon wedges.
4. HONEY GARLIC SHRIMP WITH MASHED POTATOES
Ingredients:
1 lb large shrimp
3 cups mashed potatoes
2 cups green beans
3 tbsp honey
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
½ tsp paprika
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix honey, garlic, soy sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet. Add the shrimp and cook for 2 minutes per side. Pour in the honey garlic sauce and let it simmer until glossy and slightly thick. Serve over creamy mashed potatoes with green beans on the side. Garnish with parsley.
5. TERIYAKI SHRIMP WITH RICE AND BROCCOLI
Ingredients:
1 lb large shrimp
2 cups cooked white rice
2 cups broccoli and carrots
½ cup teriyaki sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp ginger, grated
Sesame seeds
Green onions, chopped
Instructions:
Heat sesame oil in a skillet. Add garlic and ginger, then add the shrimp. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side. Pour in the teriyaki sauce and soy sauce, then simmer until the shrimp are coated in a shiny glaze. Serve with white rice, broccoli, carrots, sesame seeds, and chopped green onions.
6. CRISPY SHRIMP WITH FRIES AND SALAD
Ingredients:
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 cup flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup breadcrumbs or panko
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fries for serving
Fresh salad
Lemon wedges
Creamy dipping sauce
Instructions:
Season the shrimp with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Coat each shrimp in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then cover with breadcrumbs. Fry in hot oil until golden and crispy, about 2–3 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels. Serve with fries, a fresh salad, lemon wedges, and your favorite creamy dipping sauce.
