My grandmother always refers to argan oil as an edible skincare. ‘Eat a reasonable amount when you’re younger, argan oil or amlu with bread, you will live longer and see no wrinkles when you turn my age’ - and believe me, my mima (‘grandma’ in Moroccan) has the smoothest skin I’ve ever seen.

There are many things that goes into a healthy skin, actually. The food you eat is #1 on the list. My mima always tells me that back in the time, organic products were the norm, she barely worried about what was in her food. She grew up and old in Morocco, ate fresh products from the farm, bought veggies and meats from other local farmers, and cooked healthy meals for the whole family. She also, to this day, make her own amlu, and it is still her favorite thing to eat. Keeps her young, she says 🤍
