Tomorrow, we’re roasting our final batch of this extremely special coffee: José Uribe Lasso’s Pink Bourbon from Colombia.

I anecdotally refer to this coffee as Froot Loops because of its undeniable limey citrus notes that evoke my nostalgia for the colorful cereal.

José’s processes techniques allow for such an interesting and expressive coffee that’s a delight to experience. He is a member of Los Guacharos Association and the suspected key reason behind why I feel in love with this producer group. In past seasons, his coffees have comprised a large portion of the community lot which had the shockingly high floral notes that alerted me to Los Guacharos. Those notes of osmanthus and sweet orange were likely attributed by José’s ability to produce outstanding coffees.

I’m sad to see this one rotate off the menu but we’ll definitely be buying this coffee in future seasons. 🍋🍋‍🟩🍊🍒🥝🍑

This coffee is going by way too quickly. We roasted the final batch of our Rwanda: Dukorere Kawa Bukure this week despite introducing it just one month ago.

A women-powered lot, this coffee was grown by the Dukorera Kawa Cooperative and processed at Nova Washing Station.

Nova Coffee is headed by Agnes Mukamushinja and her husband Felix Hitayezu — a former nurse and pharmacist team. With a mission to to improve community livelihoods, Nova Coffee’s team is committed continuously raising QC and processing standards to expand market access for the smallholders they work with.

Personally this coffee is a home run between this story and cup profile. Dried goji berry, honey, pomelo and soft floral notes make this a balanced, daily driver.

Grab one of our few remaining bags today.

Our latest release is already down to its final batches. We present Sin Net Chaung, a natural process catuai from Myanmar.

We’re no strangers to coffee from Myanmar but this profile is always a refreshing change up from our traditional washed offers. It’s sweet and coating yet fruity and bright.

We’ll be sharing this coffee at our upcoming events over the next week or two so be sure to come out to see us to try some!

Plus, read our write up with a bit of the history of coffee production in Myanmar on our site.

Another boxed coffee has landed!

We usually buy 60-70kg bags of coffee but lately there have been a few small lots that have piqued our interest. These come in vacuum sealed packs and are so much fun to open.

I’ll try to get an ASMR video of the next opening (:

Last week at the Women Powered Coffee Summit, I added a new word to my Spanish vocabulary: compartir, which means to share.

The Summit was unlike any other coffee event I’ve ever attended as it centered the voices and experiences of women producers. The goal was community connection while celebrating women producers as protagonists — a narrative we rarely get to focus on.

I have a lot of thoughts and feelings that I’ll try to share in an upcoming blog post. Here are some photos from our farm visit where it was refreshing to see an exchange of ideas among peer coffee producers.
