Woofie's Hot Dogs Reuben Dog
It's in the name, it counts, and it goes HARD.
Bread: 2, Poppy seed bun, lightly steamed. No rye, no need
Corned beef: 1.5 Vienna beef isn't corned beef, but the dog is cooked perfectly, and super flavorful from the grill. Cant go full, but going as close as I can
Thousand Island: 2, it's perfect. Able to be distinguished from the other flavors, tangy, amazing
Kraut: 2, brown properly saured kraut
Cheese: 2, Swiss, melty goodness
Price: $6.52 after tax
Total: 9.5/10, a proper review for a properly great Reuben (dog)
Restaurant points: 0-1, total: 4
Sides: 1, seasoned salt fries served old steak n shake style. Damn good
Service: 1, Good, fast, by a crew who cares
Cool factor: 1, building is small but very fun, more below
Bonus: 1, the other hotdog I had was just as good, and (get bent losers) their Chicago dog looks better than most in Chicago
Total: 4/bark, boof, yip, woof
Grand total: 13.5
Thoughts: This is the kind of place I remember going to with my parents and grandparents. The little place with an absolute killer menu and awesome staff.
The only thing that would make it better, is going when it's warm, and I'll be going back.
