Now this is an egg worth saving!

A beautiful blue egg from my Fibro hen with a gorgeous heavy white bloom and little speckles peeking through. This one is definitely headed for the incubator!

One of the things I love most about breeding is seeing those special eggs show up in the nest box. Every one like this has me wondering what the next generation might bring.

Now I'm crossing my fingers that she lays me a few more this week! 🤞🏽

I am super excited to add this Welsummer line to my flock! Welsummers are up there in my handful of favorite breeds to raise, but this silver is 🤌🏽.

I love everything about them—the striking feather pattern, their calm presence, and the beautiful dark, speckled eggs they're known for.

The future is looking pretty exciting around here.

I'm currently sorting through this year's grow-outs and will have a selection of hens, roosters, and breeding trios available.

Available Breeds:
🩶 Blue Ash (our own developing project line)
💜 Lavender Ameraucana (true blue egg layers)

Hatch Dates:
• April Hatch – Approximately 16 weeks old
• May Hatch – Approximately 12 weeks old

📌 Please Read Before Messaging:
• All birds will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
• I won't be able to take individual photos of every bird available.
• I'll post several representative photos so you can see the quality and type of stock being offered.
• If you're looking for a breeding trio or have a preference for cockerels or pullets, send me a message, and I'll do my best to match you with what's available.

Tomorrow marks the start of August, which means it is time to ramp up for the holiday baking season. We are done selling chicks for the season, and when that slows down, we still have our farm-fresh eggs to supply to local stores. When one season slows down, another is ramping up.

Photo dump!

Just a few of the chicks from our last hatch... along with the beautiful eggs they came from.

It's always fun to look back and connect each chick to the egg that started it all. The next exciting step? DNA testing! I can't wait to get these little ones tested, identify who's carrying which traits, and then watch them grow into the next generation of our flock.

The fluffy stage is adorable... but I'm already dreaming about the egg basket rainbow.

Just a handful of new fluffy butts!

We've been incredibly busy over here! Between hatching, banding, and recording every single chick in my breeding notes, this olive egger program is keeping us on our toes.

Every chick gets a leg band, every hatch gets documented, and every pairing is tracked. It might seem like a lot of work, but those little details are what help build a breeding program—not just hatch chicks.

Some weeks on the farm have a slower, more relaxed pace... and then there are weeks like this one, where it feels like there's always another chick hatching, another brooder to check, and another note to write down.

I wouldn't trade it for anything. Watching this next hatch come to life is exactly why I love doing this.

It's been pretty magical watching this color palette evolve.

Every season, every hatch, and every breeding decision brings me a little closer to the vision I've had in my head. Rich chocolates, moody olives, soft blues, smoky greys, and blooms that make each egg feel like a tiny piece of art.
