A Chelsea-based CSA community, we partner with Stoneledge Farm to receive organic, local produce Visit our website to learn more about becoming a member.

The Chelsea CSA is a Community Supported Agriculture Project that provides local, organic produce weekly to its members from mid-June through Thanksgiving. Founded in 2000, the Chelsea CSA is a partnership between the Kavakos family of Stoneledge Farm in South Cairo NY, and community members of the Chelsea neighborhood. The Chelsea CSA enables members of all economic backgrounds to enjoy farm-fresh organic vegetables while supporting local agriculture. In addition to their vegetable share, members can add optional fruit, mushroom, coffee and other shares if they wish.

The last week of September and we have the perfect share for a Fall soup!
Full Share: celery, carrots, potatoes, radish, thyme, onion, winter squash, and greens
Fruit share: apples and pears
Mushroom: Crimini

We love our members who volunteer and appreciate the time and effort at every shift.

A big thanks to Hudson Guild for providing the facilities and clean up assistance every week as our distribution site. We love being here beside their food donation program so that families can benefit from these organic vegetable shares also.

This is how sad the distribution site looks like when there are no volunteers. Please remember to sign up to do your shift, it’s important to participate in this grass roots initiative to keep it going, and we rely on your honorable participation. In these times when so many things are going awry, and unpredictable, this seems like an honest, simple, way to contribute time to a worthy organization to keep going, and to slow down a little. 🥕🌱

We love the organic veggies from Stoneledge Farm and Hudson Guild for hosting our distribution site. They give our free shares to families who need a little extra security with food and distribute fresh vegetables every week.
Any extra vegetables we have at the end and don’t get picked up get distributed through their program also.

This is the purple week! 💜🦄🍆👾☂️
After rain, we have purple cauliflowers, purple onions, and peppers 🎸🎸🎸and a ton of spinach from Stoneledge Farm
