LELO Fine Foods

LELO Fine Foods LELO offers the finest quality, healthy, Mediterranean diet products, from the birthplace of olive oil. Elie Joseph Nassar
Founder & CEO

Used in the kitchens of many top NYC restaurants like Jean-Georges, Pastis(NYC), Le diplomate(DC) and many more. Elie Joseph Nassar
Founder & CEO

Having grown up in Remhala, a hidden village in Mount Lebanon where olive and orange trees are indigenous, Elie was always fascinated by traditional olive oil processing methods. It felt magical to watch how fresh harvested olives would transform into

luscious oil within two grinding stones. Elie also used to enjoy the jams and mouneh (food preserved using traditional methods) his mother Josephine made using fresh ingredients off the land. Unfortunately, those childhood memories ended when the tragic civil war in Lebanon forced Elie and the rest of the Remhala inhabitants to abandon their village. Through Lelo - his childhood nickname, Elie wants to revive those memories and encourage Remhala's natives to return to their village. LELO produces olive oil, jams, vegetables creams, and other specialties made by farmers throughout Lebanon and the Mediterranean region. By hiring natives, LELO aims to see the village repopulated and the olive and orange orchids filled with life again. A percentage of the profit made will go the farmers of hometown Remhala as well as to the NYC Food Bank to show his appreciation to the city that adopted him.
