This trunk belonged to my grandmother 🤍

Every few years I stand in front of it with a paint swatch in my hand… and every time, I put the paintbrush down.

The chipped paint. The worn latches. Every scuff has a story I didn't get to hear, and I'm not about to paint over a single one.

So this is how it looks. Forever.

(The cat, however, considers it her throne and did not ask my opinion.)
