On Staying hungry and reinventing oneself. It was hard to write and hard to share this one, but it's been a while. And I've got nothing to loose.

“It all turns on affection.” - Wendell Berry

I just watched A beautiful film by John Chester, when asked what inspired he recalled this quote from Wendell Berry and said “when you care for something you see it’s full potential, you are willing to give it a change and let its do what it’s supposed to do without trying to control it.”

We aren’t just the food we eat, we are the soil that nurtures the plants - a million little microorganisms breathing nurture into the potential of everything we are connected to. Regenerative agriculture is the future, and I am excited for all the people that are putting all the hard work it takes to reverse the practicas that have led us here.

Whatever you decide to eat, eat it with passion, eat it with respect, eat it with gratitude.

As a recovering vegetarian I am making amends with this new diet, this new identity, and making sure everything I eat makes me stronger and happier. I am done with labels. And while I am at it, I am excited to try new things and learn to love foods I never thought I would feel so happy about.

Rainy weather, mid-holiday, comforts.
Roast a whole head of cauliflower with salt and olive oil. Put it in a blender with your favorite greens and herbs, ginger, and vegetable broth. Purée until silky smooth, and serve with a drizzle of olive oil. 👌🏼 /
